Pardaman Singh Sawhney, Treasurer and Director

Pardaman Singh Sawhney was born in Kohat (now in Pakistan). After partition of India, family moved to Kota, Rajasthan. He is a graduate of IIT Bombay (pioneer batch) in Civil Engineering and holds a Masters degree in Engineering from University of Illinois- Urbana Champaign as well as MBA from University of San Francisco.

He is registered Professional Engineer ( Civil) in state of California. He had a 40-year career with Bechtel Corp. as a Civil / Structural engineer where he worked in design and construction management of  nuclear power plants and various industrial plants.  He is Fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers and has published technical  papers in various  engineering journals and presented them in USA and abroad.

After retiring from Bechtel Corp. he continues  as independent consulting Civil Structural Engineer. 

He was involved with starting Gurdwara at El Sobrante, California and construction management of Sikh Center of Orange  County,  California.

As  a president  of Newport Irvine Rotary Club he continues to participate in various humanitarian projects including taking medical missions to Ensenada, Mexico annually.

In spare time he enjoys gardening, traveling, playing  tennis and duplicate bridge .
